On October 9, 2006, the Jefferson County Commissioners voted unanimously to  request an additional extension from the Washington Environmental Council for work being accomplished on the county's CAO update.

Due to the amount of public comment on the proposed critical areas ordinance update for Jefferson County, the Planning Commission voted to indefinitely extend the deadline for written public comment on this issue.  Please send your comments by email to:
